Peter V. Kent, Senior Managing Attorney
Peter Kent has specialized in healthcare
law since he started his career in 1967. Prior to founding the firm
in 1988, Mr. Kent was Massachusetts Partner in Charge for the New
York law firm of Haytt, Haytt & Landau. Before that, he rose
to Junior Partner at Tierney, Tierney, St. Onge & Manoil after
interning at what is now the Committee for Public Counsel Services.
Peter is a member of the Massachusetts state and federal bars, MHA,
MAPAM (where he received the Presidents Award twice) and HFMA (which
conferred the Fullmer Award on him in 1992). Active in the community
over the years, Peter has served as Trustee and President of the
Mary A. Alley Hospital, Trustee of Salem Hospital, Director and
Chairman of the Board of the Greater Salem VNA, and Director and
Chairman of the Board for the North Shore Family Planning, Inc.,
as well as Trustee and then President of the Congregation of the
Marblehead Unitarian-Universalist Church. Peter earned a dual BA
in History and Political Science from Centre College of Kentucky
and a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University. An avid sailor, Peter
lives in Marblehead, Massachusetts, with his wife of 40 years and

Charlene E. Kent, Vice President and Managing
Attorney
Charlene Kent specializes in healthcare law,
including advocating for providers rights, litigation management
and prosecution of administrative appeals at all levels. Prior to
practicing as an attorney at Kent, she interned as a victim-witness
advocate for the Middlesex County District Attorneys Office.
Charlene is a member of both the Massachusetts and New Hampshire
bars and is admitted to practice before the state and federal courts
in both jurisdictions. Charlene graduated from the University of
New Hampshire with a BA in English and from Massachusetts School
of Law with a Juris Doctor. Charlene resides in Marblehead, Massachusetts,
where she spends her free time sailing with her husband and two

Dennis S. Scott, Associate Attorney and
Assistant Director of Business Development
Dennis Scott specializes in the various legal and regulatory matters arising under Medicare, Medicaid, and other thrid-party payment programs. He applies his knowledge and expereince with the Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare programs, including applications, appeals and related reimbursement / coverage issues, to his practice of healthcare and administrative law, including Veterans Administration
appeals, and creditors rights work. Before joining Kent, Dennis served as a Hearing Officer for the Division of Medical Assistance, Board
of Hearings in Boston; interned as a clerk at the New Hampshire
Federal District Court; and served as an Honors Judicial Clerk at
the Massachusetts Federal District Court. Dennis is admitted to
the state and federal courts in Massachusetts and New Hampshire,
the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Court of
Appeals for Veterans Claims, and the United States Supreme Court.
He is a member of AHLA, MHA, HFMA, MAPAM and MAHAM and is a trained mediator under Rule 8 in Massachusetts. He graduated from Boston
University cum laude with a dual BA in Philosophy and Psychology and from
the New England School of Law cum laude with a Juris Doctor. He is on the Board of Directors of Hospitality Homes. When Dennis is
not cheering on the New England Patriots or working on his golf game, he can
be found at home with his wife and two daughters, a Dalmatian, and

Michelle A. Rhudick, Executive Director
of Business Development
Michelle Rhudick has worked for Kent since
its inception in 1988, when Peter Kent and she left Haytt, Haytt
and Landau. As Executive Director of Business Development, she is
responsible for raising Kents profile in the community and
has played a key role in several multimillion dollar settlements.
She is a board member for Hathorne Office Park and also serves as
Managing Partner of Rollins Realty LLC, the Kent subsidiary that
manages its buildings. Having held supervisory and management roles
in all departments, she has developed a broad knowledge base in all
areas of healthcare reimbursement. She is an active member of MAPAM,
MHA, MAHAM, and HFMA. Michelle complements this experience with
coursework, including her current studies towards a BS degree in
Information Technology. An active volunteer, long-time Girl Scout
leader, and enthusiastic Little League coach, Michelle resides in
Groveland, Massachusetts, with her husband, their three children,

Maria Little, Director of Operations
Since Maria Little joined Kent in 1992, she
has worked in, supervised, and managed the Business Support, Human
Resource/Accounting, and Liability Accounts departments. Maria currently
oversees the business office and applies her accounting studies
and significant experience in government programs to manage Kents
high-volume Applications department. Previously, she served as a
Contract Administrator for the City of Lowell law department for
five years. She and her family husband, daughter, son, and
Dakota the Dog live in Dracut, Massachusetts. They go to
their camp in the central part of the state, Royalston, as often
